Wellllll, it has been over three years since Ive visited my blog. Crazy how things have changed since January 2011. Caroline is almost 5; Olivia just turned 11 and Taylor will be 10 in September. We have settled back in Houston. Being close to family and close friends is great. I do miss the mountains, though.
My day, thus far, has consisted of getting the girls out the door to school (which is a toss of the dice as to what their moods will be on any given day). Rick took Caroline to school while I rushed out to a hair appointment. Rick left for Edwards AFB this afternoon.
The girls know that when Dads on travel that Chinese take-out is on the menu.

Olivia
Olivia is recovering from walking pneumonia. After being home all week, she was determined to go back to school today. Her classmates sent home sweet get well cards for her on Wednesday. I am hesitant about her participating in her soccer game in the morning. She will at least be there for her team pictures.

Texas
Sooo, I was missing Texas this morning. After listening to Lyle Lovett has helped greatly. I've also been working on this blasted blog. Hopefully, now that I have my new template in place, things will be smooth sailing from here on out. Go to the Aqua Poppy for some FREE backgrounds to use on your blog.

The girls have their cross country lessong this afternoon. Rick's birthday is today...forty seven years young...sushi for dinner. I'm listening to Caroline protest loudly for being put down for her nap. Only to find that she had wedged her knee between the bars of the crib. Yeah, so much for the nap.

Day Two
Soooo, I forgot about this blog already...missed a couple of days. Thanks Ms. K! How did you find me?
Caroline ...needs a diaper change. She toddles off to a inspect a pile of blocks, of which she promptly puts on her mouth. I spy her Sisters climbing on the eliptical(sp) machine. And accident waiting to happen.
Question of the day:
Why is it that when we leave the dads in charge of the house and kids, its always, ALWAYS more work upon the Mom's return????

Day One
Listening to my play list, juggling a latte and a Dr. Pepper....listening to the rustling of Caroline exploring something new. Her older Sisters are unusually quiet at the moment......
